Begin with the fish
The fourteen base values range from 85 for bluegill to 720 for lake sturgeon. A fish’s tier controls its spawn group; its individual base value supplies the starting points for a successful catch.
Add the accuracy bonus
Accuracy is round((10 − distance) × 8), where distance is the lane gap between boat and caught fish. At exact alignment that contributes 80 points. The catch still needs to pass the original ten-unit range check.
For example, a bluegill caught at a distance of two lane units contributes 85 base points and 64 accuracy points. If it is the first catch in a sequence, the total is 149.
Add the sequence bonus
The first consecutive catch adds no combo bonus. Each further catch adds 26 points to that catch’s bonus, up to 130: 0, 26, 52, 78, 104, 130. A miss resets the sequence.
An exactly aligned second consecutive rainbow trout catch is 205 + 80 + 26 = 311 points. The formula describes the existing game; it is not a new scoring mode.
