Watch before your first input
Golden Current starts the boat moving automatically across the water. It travels between the edges of its lane and needs no steering input. Look at the fish positions before deciding when to drop.
The hook button, a click on the water and Space or Enter can trigger the action. Keyboard shortcuts exclude input and button focus so typing a score name does not cast the line.
Understand the short freeze
The boat freezes during the 880-millisecond hook drop. This is part of the original casting action, not a separate pause feature. The next action becomes available after the current drop resolves.
The nearest fish must be within ten lane units for the catch check. Accuracy is calculated from that distance, so a closer alignment can improve the score even when both attempts would catch a fish.
Keep six attempts in view
Every voyage has six drops, including misses. A miss breaks the successful-catch sequence. After a caught fish is removed, the school can refill when fewer than four fish remain.
After the sixth attempt, use the game’s score-saving controls if you want the voyage considered for the local top five. A new voyage starts a fresh six-drop round.
